Breed Specific Legislation
Breed Specific Legislation is something that affects all owners of bully breeds. Be aware of BSL in your area before you commit, and be ready to fight for your breed when you do.
We are lucky that most parts of Nova Scotia do not have BSL, but Clark's Harbour and Guysborough County, as well as many other places in Canada have very strict laws regarding the 'pit bull' breed.

Do your part to be a responsible owner and keep BSL from taking over; let’s help change opinions, and in turn, change hearts.
When it comes to powerful breeds, I can't stress enough how important it is for you to be the leader! If you let your dogs walk all over you, your family, and your home, he/she will feel the need to take over the leadership role and become stressed out. This is when many anxieties and behavioral issues can arise. Do your part as pack leader, and take control by setting rules, boundaries, and guidelines for your dog.
